"I was helping friends learn about pinhole photography on this international day and stopped long enough to "snap" a selfie (a 3.5-minute exposure) in the Italian garden where we were practicing. I liked the columns and thought they might march well into the distance."
"My camera is homemade--a cardboard box wrapped in duct tape. I have eight of them this size. Depending on the season, the time of day, and the weather, each exposure takes from three to seven minutes. I use photo paper and develop my negatives in the bathtub."
